My Journey
Why I started, where I am now, and where I'm going.
Why I Started
I used to play different sports every day of the week. It was a huge part of who I was. But after more than a decade of inactivity, chronic lack of sleep, stress, and constant travel, my body started breaking down in ways I couldn't ignore anymore.
I'm now dealing with high glucose levels, shortness of breath, and a general decline in overall health. I've tried measuring my glucose and eating healthier, but I'm not seeing much improvement from those changes alone.
This is my effort to build myself back up from the ground up — a little more systematically this time — so that I can fix my broken body and get my health back.
Where I Am Now
Starting point. I'm at the very beginning of this journey. My current challenges:
- High glucose levels
- Shortness of breath
- General decline in overall health and fitness
- Over a decade of inactivity
I've started monitoring my glucose and adjusting my diet, but it's clear that nutrition alone isn't enough. I need a comprehensive, systematic approach.
My Goals
- Bring glucose levels back to a healthy range
- Restore cardiovascular fitness — no more shortness of breath
- Rebuild strength and mobility after a decade of inactivity
- Establish sustainable daily habits for long-term health
- Get back to playing sports again
My Approach
Build from the ground up, systematically. Rather than trying to do everything at once, I'm taking a structured approach:
- Measure — Track glucose, activity, sleep, and how I feel
- Move — Start with daily walks and basic movement, then gradually increase
- Eat — Continue improving nutrition with a focus on glucose management
- Sleep — Prioritize consistent, quality sleep
- Document — Write it all down so I can see what works and stay accountable
